The Fall of Eden

The whole room buzzed with anticipation waiting for the Fall of Eden Fashion show to begin last Thursday night. The white runway seemed to glow against the black backdrop, the music built the mood up as it got closer to show time. Professors and students mingled with department chairs and fashion industry professionals. Even Project Runway contestant Christopher Palu made an appearance as a guest judge for the show. “I think this show is going to be on another level, something like they’ve never done before,” stated Professor Armillas, an intimate apparel professor her at FIT. Armillas described the Fashion and Design club members as being outstanding, articulate, and dedicated students.
The show started fashionably late of course but once it began the crowd was memorized. The designers really brought their all; it was a constant flow of eccentric dresses, lingerie, and menswear to be admired. The show began with  gowns of white to mark the very beginning of the changing seasons of summer into fall and continued with ever darkening outfits to represent the progression of the season. The music became more sinister as the shades grew darker and what began with pure white gowns ended with entirely black garments. Some remarked that the guys stole the show last night in their undergarments all branded with designer name Ken Wroy, walking the runway with apples and taking a large bite when they reached the end. Overall, the show was something that no one should’ve missed.
